Hello!

I am Melinda Vaillant, the part-time School Counselor at RiverEast. This is my first year at RiverEast and I am excited to be partnering with staff, students, and families to create an inclusive and successful learning environment! This is my fifth year as a School Counselor but I have many years of experience in education, as I was a teacher prior to becoming a School Counselor. 

As a School Counselor, I work to support our scholars in three main areas: Social and Emotional Development, Career Exploration, and Academic Achievement. I will also work in collaboration with students to create and guide their Personal Learning Plans (PLPs).
